Affirm Ministry

Deer Park became an Affirming Ministry within the United Church of Canada in April 2007. We are committed to being an inclusive community, to act as a safe haven for people of all sexual orientation and those with gender identity issues and to end discrimination of all kinds.  We promote greater awareness of sexual orientation and gender identity issues at work, at home and in our local community and provide support, where needed, for the GLBTQI community.  Please see www.united-church.ca/exploring/orientation/affirm for more information.
