Since life gives us a never ending supply of tasks, the only way they could be done is to allow the body to rest and rejuvenate or we risk taxing it past it's limits. The reason workers are given coffee breaks is to allow them to rest and be more productive when working. The same apply to vacations as they allow the person to be more productive when performing work and personal tasks.
